Sometimes, I feel bothered at how much I have to work on my weakness in wrath.
But I realized that everyone has their DAILY battles, and that Satan works with people in three ways… wrath, passiveness, and flattery.

20 For behold, at that day shall he arage in the bhearts of the children of men, and stir them up to anger against that which is good.

21 And others will he apacify, and lull them away into carnal bsecurity, that they will say: All is well in Zion; yea, Zion prospereth, all is well—and thus the cdevil dcheateth their souls, and leadeth them away carefully down to hell.

22 And behold, others he aflattereth away, and telleth them there is no bhell; and he saith unto them: I am no devil, for there is none—and thus he whispereth in their ears, until he grasps them with his awful cchains, from whence there is no deliverance.
I suppose my constant gopher popping up like that one carnival game, is anger…but today I triumphed in a small way..
We have this strap that we use to tie the children’s door shut to the banister, since they outsmarted the child door knob lock.
Sometimes when Hazel, Milly and I are in the bedroom, Rawl will sneakily tie us all in the room.  I HATE when he does this.  It makes me LIVID!
Today, Rawl gleefully tied us all in.  I felt an immediate surge of anger.  LUCKILY, I quickly bowed my head and said a fast prayer.  It was just what I needed to take off enough edge, ( I was still very peeved) to take advantage of the opportunity so we could all have our daily prayers.  Then I thought of an appropriate punishment.  So waiting for Rawl to untie it, I had him do something kind for me, sort the laundry.  Then I calmly explained he had to be in his room, and explained some reasons why its unsafe and unkind to trap mother in the door.
Now is about time to let him out of the door….so I best post this.  Maybe I should take a picture of the purple yoga strap that escalates my adrenalin!
:)   So for all those of you who also are tempted in wrath, I wish you luck,  and those of you whom Satan tempts with pacification and flattery, I hope that you beat down those gophers each day or week he gnaws on you in those manners!
:)   Best!  Emily
